Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Nūr mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Nūr is a mobile application that provides:

• Accurate prayer times for all 5 daily prayers
• Qibla direction compass
• Digital Tasbih counter for dhikr
• Prayer notifications and reminders
• Islamic calendar integration (Hijri dates)

The App is designed to help Muslims maintain their daily prayers and spiritual practices.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App

Accuracy of Information

Prayer Times: We strive to provide accurate prayer times based on established calculation methods. However, prayer times may vary based on:

• Location accuracy
• Calculation method selected
• Local mosque practices

We recommend verifying prayer times with your local mosque or Islamic center, especially for important occasions.

Qibla Direction: The Qibla compass relies on your device's sensors and location data. Accuracy may be affected by magnetic interference, device calibration, or GPS accuracy. We recommend using it as a guide and confirming the direction through other means when possible.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements (iOS 17.0 or later)
• Maintaining the security of your device
• Granting necessary permissions (location, notifications) for the App to function properly
• Verifying important information (prayer times, Qibla direction) with local authorities when needed

Premium Features and In-App Purchases

The App offers optional premium features available through in-app purchases:

• Premium Bead Colors (Lifetime): One-time purchase for permanent access
• Premium Bead Colors (Monthly): Subscription with automatic monthly renewal

Purchase Terms

• All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
• Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's refund policy
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage subscriptions in your iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
• Premium features are linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on new devices

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then.

Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Nūr and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Nūr name, logo, and all related marks are our property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of prayer times or Qibla direction

We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NŪR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from reliance on prayer times or Qibla direction provided by the App
• Issues arising from device compatibility, software bugs, or service interruptions

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or premium features (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Religious Guidance Disclaimer

The App is a tool to assist with prayer times and spiritual practices. It is not a substitute for:

• Religious scholarship or guidance from qualified Islamic scholars
• Consultation with your local mosque or Islamic center
• Personal religious judgment and practice

For religious questions or guidance, please consult with qualified Islamic scholars or your local mosque.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We do not collect any personal data, and all information stays on your device.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do:

• We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
• Significant changes will be communicated through the App or App Store update notes
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the App.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

You may terminate these Terms by deleting the App from your device.

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must delete the App from your device
• Premium feature subscriptions will continue until the end of the current billing period

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Nūr, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nūr regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
